A headphone jack, also known as an audio jack, is a type of electrical connector that is used to connect headphones or other audio devices to a source of audio, such as a computer, smartphone, or audio player. Headphone jacks are typically 3.5mm in diameter and have three conductors: left audio, right audio, and ground. Some headphone jacks also have a fourth conductor for microphone input.
